My mom has had genital herpes since the 1970's can I get it from using the same toilet, bath tub etc. as her?

please help this freaks me out! i have the type 1 i found out when i had a blood test done, the last time i had a cold sore was when i was pregnant, i just found out 2 days ago im pregnant again a this morning i have a cold sore what the frizzle?My mom has had genital herpes since the 1970's can I get it from using the same toilet, bath tub etc. as her?
no ! you can not get herpes from using the same toilet , bath tub etc.!!!


an if you will have baby then REMEMBER this: Herpes is not genetic, it's usually passed by skin contact when the baby comes through the birth canal when the mother has an out break of genital herpes. It's possible but herpes can be deadly to newborns, or they could have some problems with. they could become blind or have some brain damage.

No. The herpes virus can only live for a very short time outside of the body. You can't get genital herpes from your mother unless you touch her sores. Just because you get cold sores (oral herpes) does not mean you have genital herpes.
no you cannot pass herpes like that...herpes don't tend to live on surfaces for very long they die very quickly
