What I would do is pour some on any place you have build up, then use the Magic Eraser another mentioned to wipe the surfaces down. thoritically yes but practically no. i mean many of the bugs causing an std are surviving outside the body on wet environments for at least a short while. but with modern bathing systems we have now a days it is highly unlikely to get std just becuase a person with std uses the tub before we do. just clean up the tub before use. no additional steps need to be taken if you are suspicious of a std case. i hope this helps.

If you have old galvanized plumbing--under the floor is a cylander type thing that the bathtub water flows through, and for sure that is plugged. The top MIGHT come off--it's a round silver thing on the floor. It then drains into the pipe where the toilet drains. Your plumbing is probably all plugged up with black sludge that is the result of rotting gunk that doesn't go down and out--hair, skin, corrosion of the pipes. Your sink will be next.
if the toilet is backing up as well i would say you have a blockage in the pipe, call a plumber, it should only take minutes to clear, so minimum charge, if you think you can do yourself, buy a set of drain rods, there very cheap 拢20-25 and will always come in handy once you have them

Then let the water run for about 5 minutes to push the clog all the way to the street drain.

thoritically yes but practically no. i mean many of the bugs causing an std are surviving outside the body on wet environments for at least a short while. but with modern bathing systems we have now a days it is highly unlikely to get std just becuase a person with std uses the tub before we do. just clean up the tub before use. no additional steps need to be taken if you are suspicious of a std case. i hope this helps.

our bath tub will not drain any water at all. at first it was just being slow, now it has come to a complete stop. I have looked up different techniques online, like the coat hanger thing, and I even used the plunger on it too. Our toilet is also having problems in there. If you have old galvanized plumbing--under the floor is a cylander type thing that the bathtub water flows through, and for sure that is plugged. The top MIGHT come off--it's a round silver thing on the floor. It then drains into the pipe where the toilet drains. Your plumbing is probably all plugged up with black sludge that is the result of rotting gunk that doesn't go down and out--hair, skin, corrosion of the pipes. Your sink will be next.
if the toilet is backing up as well i would say you have a blockage in the pipe, call a plumber, it should only take minutes to clear, so minimum charge, if you think you can do yourself, buy a set of drain rods, there very cheap 拢20-25 and will always come in handy once you have them

Get someone to lift your manhole while you flush the loo. If it does'nt flush right or if your manhole is already full there is a blockage. I hired rods from howdens they will deliver if you want. It cost 拢11 for the day - well worth it and much cheaper than calling someone out.

How do you unclog a bath tub drain??nothing is working?
If you've already put in drano or something like that in the drain, it can be dangerous doing the following by yourself as it can splash back and hurt your eyes or hands. So proceed with caution if you have done that or call a plumber and tell him about the chemical. If you haven't put anything down the drain, proceed as follows:
Unscrew the circular thing in the center of the front of the tub. That will give you access to the drain. Get a plumbers snake and push it down into the drain till you hit the clog. Start turning the snake and push as you go, it should dislodge after a while, run the water as the clog starts to dislodge to keep it moving and just keep going till the tub drains properly.
Then let the water run for about 5 minutes to push the clog all the way to the street drain.

nope, but ive got to be drowning in bubbles, half a bottle of bubble bath normally does the job, so you have to dig yourself a hole in the bubbles to get into it, and maintain the hole for breathing.....i once did just that at centre parcs once and then turned on the jacuzzi......bad idea lol
I shower, I don't bathe, BUT there are toys EVERYWHERE in our bath tub, my sore feet are proof of that(always has to have one damn spikey toy for me to step on in there!)....My nephew lives with us 4 days a week so he has all his pokemon, transformers, and dinosuars in the tub constantly.
I clean them up, then the next day they magically appear in the bathroom again.

How to lay tile on a bath tub ?? ?
my bathtub is painted and the paint is staring to peal my husband and i were thinking about putting tile in the tub but i am not sure how to begin the process , Do i need to place something on the tub before placing the grout? what are the steps in making this possible

As far as cooking dinner while in the tub/shower and talking on the phone and watching tv..so on, so on?Are their actually people who live in their showers and or bath tubs?

nope, but ive got to be drowning in bubbles, half a bottle of bubble bath normally does the job, so you have to dig yourself a hole in the bubbles to get into it, and maintain the hole for breathing.....i once did just that at centre parcs once and then turned on the jacuzzi......bad idea lol
I shower, I don't bathe, BUT there are toys EVERYWHERE in our bath tub, my sore feet are proof of that(always has to have one damn spikey toy for me to step on in there!)....My nephew lives with us 4 days a week so he has all his pokemon, transformers, and dinosuars in the tub constantly.
I clean them up, then the next day they magically appear in the bathroom again.

I don't know how old your baby is or if your shopping before the arrival, but I agree with the previous answer about the fisher price aquarium tub. I love the fact that it has the hammock for when they are a newborn. We actually used it with the hammock for about the first 6 months. I don't love it when the hammock is out, because he just seemed to slide and not have the right support. But, once he was able to sit up, we bought a grippy mat for the bottom of our regular tub and give him all his baths in there now.

Even though it is a small space, this project requires the skills of a planner, framing/finish carpenter, plumber, electrician, drywaller, painter, and flooring installer. Hiring a contractor to build your bathroom will cost you four to five times as much.

it depends, are you running the pipes to the tub on an inside wall or outside wall? outside wall plumbing usually goes under the tub and back through the floor to prevent pipe freeze if you loose heat,which would be a pain if you had a problem.you would also have to adjust the toilet flange for the height of the sub floor,unless the flange is already installed,then use an extension or extra thick ring because the toilet needs to sit flush so there is no wobble from it being to high.

it depends, are you running the pipes to the tub on an inside wall or outside wall? outside wall plumbing usually goes under the tub and back through the floor to prevent pipe freeze if you loose heat,which would be a pain if you had a problem.you would also have to adjust the toilet flange for the height of the sub floor,unless the flange is already installed,then use an extension or extra thick ring because the toilet needs to sit flush so there is no wobble from it being to high.

sounds like the drain pipe has come loose from whatever wall bracket was holding it.... if you have easy access to the drain (ie. in a crawlspace or basement.) check it out... find the source of the knock.. use metal or cloth strapping tape to resecure it...

Hiring a contractor to build your bathroom will cost you four to five times as much.

if you can see the ball,try putting a huge glob of rubber cement at the end of a long dowel or drain snake.This may make the ball adhere to the glue,and you can pull it up.I doubt the acid will disolve it,but you can try.it may disolve your pipes in the process.Is there a trap under the bathtub drain.if so,remove the trap cover and try to get from the other end.Good luck.
Try a wet vacum, don't try to wash it down are you could be asking for some real trouble. Better put a catch over that hole next time. I had moby Dick flushed down the toilet once, so I know how costly this can be. The acid will do you no good and may cause some damage. If you put that down, you can't use the vacum to suck it back up. Then the plumber will really hate you when he shows up if the vacum doesn't do it. Don't know if your tub has a easy to reach trap under it, but I would see as a second idea to get to the trap, it should still be there. It is a U joint in the plumbing and will hold it there until you can get to it. But if you try flushing it down with water, it may get stuck or go down all the way. Where it may stop no one knows. So good luck. If you can see it, the vacum just may do it. Look with a flash light.

Depending on the size of the stuffed toy and what it's made of, you usually can put it in the dryer on the lowest setting (air fluff) and not damage it. Otherwise, hanging it on a clothes line and let it sun dry also works. I've hung stuffed toys by their ears and they didn't lose their shape. If it's really large then you may want to lay it out on a heavy towel so you don't ruin the shape of the toy. Good luck.

Bath Tub Re-Glazing?? Should I??
My bath tub is about 20yrs old, nothing fancy just a standard tub. The problem is since it borders 3 walls I am guessing it would be expensive to replace. Does re-glazing really work? If I get a professional to do this, how long should I expect the new surface to last? Also, does anyone know what a ';ball park'; figure would be to have this done??

We just re-glazed our tub DIY. Our tub was from the yellow era but in great shape.
If you DIY make sure you follow ALL instructions. You have to clean/sand it several different ways to prepare the surface. Make sure you follow ALL instructions... it says to brush only one way and it light coats.... Also it smells really bad for a few days.
I heard that re-glazing the professional way cost about as much as a new tub without the installation fees. Another idea is to re-cover the tub. A professional applies a 1/8 inch (acrylic?) covering over everything - it would all be sealed and groves from tiles are still there.dermatologist acne

If you do it yourself - approx $25 -$50 (walmart / hardware stores- paint department)
We just re-glazed our tub DIY. Our tub was from the yellow era but in great shape.
If you DIY make sure you follow ALL instructions. You have to clean/sand it several different ways to prepare the surface. Make sure you follow ALL instructions... it says to brush only one way and it light coats.... Also it smells really bad for a few days.
