The older tubs were 16'; deep. The newer ones are 14'; deep unless you get a jetted tub, then it will be 20'; deep. Cast iron and fiberglass tubs will have about a 1/4'; wall thickness and the steel tubs will be about 3/32'; wall thickness.Average depth of a bath tub?
